Donetsk, June 5 – DAN. The Contact Group has tasked the security working group with developing a draft project of additional measures to control ceasefire, the DPR Foreign Ministry said.
“The Contact Group has put a clear task in front of the security group: to work out and present a draft package of additional measures to reinforce and control ceasefire as soon as possible.”
In connection with the above mentioned, the DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova expressed hope for a soon compromise on the document.
“The Republics have been reiterating their willingness to support a truly comprehensive and lasting ceasefire; to make it effective we insist on the soonest possible harmonization of the package of additional measures,” she said.
The package includes a universal recommitment to earlier achieved agreements on ceasefire, ban on offensive or reconnaissance operations and sniper fire; ban on shelling, including retaliatory; ban on fire on populated areas; ban on deployment of heavy weapons.
After the murder of then DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko DPR proposed to include ban on sabotage and terrorist activities to stabilize the security situation along the contact line.*ot
