DPR publishes radio talks of Ukrainian troops who shelled Donbass

Donetsk, Aug 12 – DAN. Ukrainian 79th brigade shelled Donetsk on Tuesday to provoke retaliatory fire as Ukrainian journalists arrived to the contact line, the DPR People’s Militia said citing radio intercepts.

Ukrainian troops fired two AGS rounds at Shakhta Trudovskaya in the Petrovskiy district of Donetsk from the direction of Maryinka.

“A provocation involving opening fire was carried out by the 79th brigade 2nd battalion who used automatic grenade launchers to engage our positions outside Shakhta Trudovskaya. Before the provocation, arrival of a group of people with video cameras was recorded.”

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
