Three DPR service members killed by Ukrainian fire

Donetsk, May 7 – DAN. Three DPR service members have been killed in Ukrainian attacks, the DPR People’s Militia said.

“Enemy’s shelling left three DPR defenders dead, we extend our deep condolences to their families,” the report reads.

According to the information available to the DPR People’s Militia, the commander of 93rd brigade Dmitry Brizhinsky ordered to engage DPR territory from the positions of Ukrainian forces outside Starognatovka with artillery, mortars, grenade launchers. The enemy adjusted fire using a Mavic Pro quadcopter, which was detected and brought down by the DPR Defense.

“The People’s Militia had to open retaliatory fire with armed not banned  under the Minsk Agreements. The enemy’s firing positions were suppressed, their losses amounted to two killed, one wounded.”

On Thursday, children came under fire in western Donetsk. The youngsters were saved by their neighbours, while three houses, a gas pipe and a vehicle sustained damage.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
