Donetsk, Mar 8 – DAN. The troops of the 24th brigade of the Ukrainian army under command of Valeriy Gudz, were the first to violate the renewed ceasefire, said DPR People’s Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

“Unfortunately we have to say that another agreement on a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire lasted for 5 minutes; at 1.05 a.m. GMT +3 the troops of the 24th brigade of the Ukrainian army were ordered by Valeriy Gudz to shell Aleksandrovka.

“We have received another evidence that neither Ukrainian president Petr Poroshenko nor the JFO commander Sergey Nayev are able to rein in their uncontrolled herd and fulfill primitive obligations and give the people of Donbass a chance to celebrate the spring holiday peacefully.”

A new recommitment to the ceasefire in Donbass has come into force on Friday, 1.01 a.m. GMT +3, after the security working group of the Contact Group had agreed to it on the previous day.

At 1.05 a.m. Kiev forces opened 120 mm mortar fire on Alexandrovka, western Donetsk; later the Volvo Center in northern Donetsk, Kulikovo, Dokuchayevsk and Yasinovataya were targeted with 82 mm mortars, IFVs, grenade launchers and small arms, including of large caliber.*ot
