Donetsk, Sep 6 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 17 times over the past 24 hours firing 53 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 17 times expending 53 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Ukrainian forces targeted the settlement of Zaitsevo, the Gagarin Colliery village outside Gorlovka and Sakhanka, Leninskoye and Kominternovo in southern DPR. The Spartak neighbourhood and the Volvo Centre area in the outskirts of Donetsk came under fire as well, he added. The enemy used mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.
The new ceasefire agreed by the Contract Group for peaceful Donbass conflict settlement ahead of the new schoolyear came into force at 00:01 on August 29.*jk
