Ukrainian forces shell DPR with more than 100 rounds over 24 hours – JCCC

Donetsk, Jul 18 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired more than 100 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 14 times expending 103 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the Dolomitnoye neighbourhood in Gorlovka, the Luganskoye, Staromikhailovka and Alexandrovka neighbourhoods in western Donetsk and the Bezymennoye, Oktyabrk, Ukrainskoye, Sakhanka, Dzerzhinskoye and Leninskoye villages in southern DPR, he added.

The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 12 times firing 213 rounds at the DPR territory.*jk
