Ukrainian forces use large calibre weapons to shell Donetsk’s western outskirts – JCCC

Donetsk, Jul 14 – DAN. Ukrainian forces delivered a massive strike at the western outskirts of Donetsk firing ten 120mm mortar rounds, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.

JCCC monitors said that at 19:40, ten 120mm mortar rounds and 50 BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds were fired from the Ukraine-controlled Maryinka at the Shakhta Trudovskaya settlement in the outskirts of Donetsk.

Earlier, at 19:15, 30 ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun rounds and ten recoilless gun rounds were fired from Maryinka at Alexandrovka. The enemy also used small arms and large calibre machine guns.

Prior to delivering the strike, Ukrainian forces in Maryinka carried out a fire assault with six recoilless gun rounds at 18:40.

At 18:40, Ukrainian army units in the same settlement shelled the Zhabichevo settlement area with 15 BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds, three recoilless gun rounds and 29 automatic grenade launcher rounds.

No casualties or damage were immediately reported.*jk
