Pushilin passes voter signature lists to CEC to run in Head of Republic election

Donetsk, Sep 25 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic acting Head Denis Pushilin on Tuesday passed lists of voter signatures to the Central Election Commission in support of his nomination as a candidate in the Head of Republic election on November 11.

In the course of the Donbas Future forum in central Donetsk square on September 20, activists asked Pushilin to run in the upcoming election. The acting DPR Head acceded to the request. The next day, he submitted his documents to the CEC for nomination as a candidate.

DPR residents will elect the new Head of the Republic in an early election and the parliament in a scheduled election on November 11. According to the Central Election Commission decision, the registration of candidates for the Republic’s top post begins on September 25.*jk
