Donetsk store robbed of $1,8 mln in jewelry – DPR police

Donetsk, Nov 1 – DAN. An unidentified man robbed Donetsk’s Central Store of 120 million rubles ($1,8 mln) in jewelry, the Donetsk People’s Republic Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.

“An unidenfied person stole gold jewerty worth some 120 million rubles at two outlets; the robbery was reported to the Donetsk’s Voroshilovskiy district police station on October 31,” the Ministry said.

A team of investigators with a K-9 unit were sent to the scene.

“At present, police are composing the list of the stolen jewelry pieces, attachting evidence to the case, questioning possible witnesses and looking for suspects,” an Interior Ministry official said.

Criminal proceedings will be opened over theft (Article 164 of the DPR Criminal Code).*jk
