Donetsk, Aug 8 - DAN. DPR law-enforces seized weapons and ammunition from a resident of Gorlovka’s Kalininskiy district, including an anti-tank grenade launcher, hand grenades and more than 100 small arms rounds, the Republic’s Interior Ministry press service said on Tuesday.

“Police found and confiscated an anti-tank grenade launcher, six hand grenades, a TNT block, a Kalashnikov assault rifle magazine and more than 5.45mm rounds from a 50-year-old resident of Gorlovka’s Kalininskiy District,” the press service said.

The weapons and ammunition were sent for analysis to the Ministry’s lab. He is facing a maximum jail term of four years with an up to 80,000-ruble fine.

DPR police regular carry out checks and raids to expose illegally kept weapons and ammunition across the Republic.

Confiscated weapon caches contained grenades, pistols, assault rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers and even large calibre mortars.  Explosives and mortar and artillery rounds were often found in residents’ possession. *jk
