Makeyevka resident sentenced for 5 years for collaborating with Ukrainian SBU

Donetsk, Jul 20 – DAN. A Makeyevka resident recruited by the Ukrainian Security Service in 2017 to perform terrorist attacks in the DPR, has been sentenced to five years of prison, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

“The suspect engaged in terrorist activity in the DPR territory acting on the orders of foreign intelligence from May to September 2017 and performed tasks aimed at damage to public security. Budyenovskiy court of Donetsk has sentenced him to five years of imprisonment.”

The accused agreed to cooperate with Ukraine for financial reasons, to get access to unimpeded passenger transfers across the Maryinka checkpoint.*ot
