Donetsk, Oct 9 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic might adopt the new Tax Code in January 2019, acting DPR Tax and Revenue Minister Yevgeniy Lavrenov said in an interview to the Donetsk News Agency.
“The new Tax Code will be approved when the legislative groundwork has been finalised,” Lavrenov said. “I hope we’ll do it in January.”
Earlier reports said that the DPR Tax and Revenue Ministry planned to analyse tax revenue and distribution, review amendments to the tax legislation and regulate tax inspections.
Lavrenov was appointed acting Tax and Revenue Minister by Pushilin’s decree on September 7.
A probe was launched into the work of former Tax and Revenue Minister Alexander Timofeyev and his colleagues following numerous complaints. The DPR set up an interdepartmental commission for investigating the activities of former Tax and Revenue Ministry officials and an interim parliamentary commission to look for facts of damage caused by tax officials to natural persons and legal entities.*jk
