Donetsk, Sep 26 — DAN. The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, expressed his condolences to the families of schoolchildren and teachers who were killed today in a shooting at a school in Russia.
A gunman in his thirties in Izhevsk, the capital of Russia’s Republic of Udmurtia, opened fire on students and teachers at School Number 88, where he had once been a pupil, killing 15 people, including 11 children, and wounding 24 others, all but two children. He then killed himself.
Udmurtia has declared a region-wide mourning.
“Unfortunately, we, people in Donbass, know what a pain it is when the lives of civilians are cut short in vile terrorist attacks perpetrated by crazed monsters. Especially when it comes to the death of children — bright, innocent souls. When ruthless terrorists choose the youngest and most defenseless as their victims, then these are crimes beyond cruelty. The death of children is a grief that cannot be put into words, ” Pushilin said.
He extended his condolences to Udmurtia and entire Russia, saying that the DPR mourns the killed children and adults together with the people of Russia.Pushilin wished the soonest recovery those wounded in the shooting spree. *ot
