Donetsk, Jun 20 - DAN. The Public Commission for recording Kiev war crimes in Donbass passed to the European Court of Human Rights 1,500 reports from DPR residents who had suffered during Ukrainian forces’ offensive on the region.

“The Public Commission for recording Ukrainian authorities war crimes in Donbass has been operating for more than two years,” Commission member Elena Shishkina told reporters on Tuesday. “As of today, it has sent 1,513 case materials based on complaints from DPR residents who suffered as a result of Ukrainian authorities’ crimes.”

These include reports on 171 civilian deaths, grave bodily harm and property damage in 2017.

The Public Commission for Recording Kiev’s war crimes in Donbass began to work in mid-2015. It includes specialists in various fields, such as law and criminal investigation.

Meanwhile, DPR has a special commission on recording Kiev war crimes which is currently operating. It was established at DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko’s order.*jk
