DPR doctors carry out 33 pacemaker insertions to residents of Kiev-controlled territories

Donetsk, Nov 10 – DAN. The doctors of Donetsk Territorial Medical Unity have carried out 34 free-of-charge surgeries to insert cardiac pacemakers to residents of Kiev-controlled territories under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, the Health Ministry said.

“Thirty four pacemakers have been inserted to patients from Kiev-controlled territories under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program,” the press statement reads.

DPR residents also receive medical aid in the hospital. A patient from Sneznhoye expressed her gratitude to doctors who replaced her pacemaker.

On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
