Donetsk, Oct 31 – DAN. The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics Emergencies Ministries will hold a joint drill on November 5 – 9, the DPR Emergencies Minister Alexey Kostrubitskiy said on Thursday.

“Due to the growing threat of Ukrainian secret services’ terrorist attacks on our industrial facilities, the unified state crisis management system forces and control bodies will be checked for readiness to combat natural and man-made emergencies,” Kostrubitskiy said.

The drill will be conducted jointly with Lugansk People’s Republic rescuers. Municipal administrations will drill evacuation of population from the crisis zone, the deployment of temporary accommodation centres and provision of essential goods, he said.

The key role will be played by rescuers and police; the Health Care and Transport Ministries will assist them in completing joint civil defence assignments. “We ask DPR citizens to keep calm and treat these events with understanding,” the DPR emergencies minister said.

On Wednesday, DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced joint drills of law-enforcement and government bodies to check their readiness to handle emergencies.*jk
