Donetsk, Dec 16 – DAN. The number of casualties of Ukrainian armed forces offensive in Donbass amounted to 314 killed and 406 wounded in 2016, DPR ombudswoman Daria Morozova said delivering her annual report to the lawmakers of DPR People’s Council.

“Since the beginning of 2016 in DPR three children were killed, the total death toll stands at 314 people, including 303 men and 11 women.”

Due to the reduced tensions and ceasefire agreements concerning the whole line of contact under the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, casualties scaled down and are four times smaller compared to 2015.

Morozova added that in 2016 406 people sustained wounds in Kiev attacks and shelling, including 16 children, 323 men and 83 women.

Overall, Ukraine’s offensive in Donbass took 4,261 lives: 591 women and 74 children were killed and a soaring number of 3,670 men. *ot
