Donetsk, Oct 11 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Public Headquarters for Frontline Districts is setting up an information centre to provide assistance to a larger part of the frontline zone residents, Headquarters chief, DPR People’s Council deputy Yekaterina Martyanova said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“In the course of our work, we saw that a majority of volunteer organisations were dubbing each other’s missions; it often happens that assistance is provided to the same recipients or settlements while the needs and problems of others are ignored,” Martyanova said. “The Public Headquarters, jointly with the Finance Ministry, decided to set up an information centre to create an overview of all needs and problems of frontline areas residents.”

The centre is needed to coordinate volunteer organisations’ assistance to greater numbers of frontline zone residents, she said adding that photo and video reports would facilitate fair distribution of aid along the contact line.

Earlier reports on Thursday said Headquarters activists had delivered relief supplies to more than 3,500 DPR frontline area families since late last year.

The Public Headquarters for Frontline Districts (the areas worst hit in the armed aggression) was set up in December 2017.*jk
