Donetsk, Dec 13 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia urged international organisations on Thursday to prevent the Ukrainian army from carrying out a chemical attack in Mariupol.

“We ask the OSCE, the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross representatives to prevent this horrible provocation (chemical attack in Mariupol – eds Donetsk News Agency) against innocent civilians,” Bezsonov said.

He also alerted the Mariupol residents recommending them to leave the possible chemical contamination zone as soon as possible. Those who decide to stay should procure individual protection means and keep the children away from schools or kindergartens.

Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces had delivered a large amount of containers with ammonia to a Mariupol cannery.

Reports also said that British specialists had arrived in Donbass to organise and guide a chemical attack and that Ukraine was preparing to launch an offensive in southern Donbass.*jk
