Donetsk, Feb 20 – DAN. DPR Head Denis Pushilin has announced the establishment of the DPR Civic Chamber to engage active residents into the state management.
“The activists of the Donetsk Republic social movement addressed me with the initiative to establish the Civic Chamber. I completely support the idea and ask the People’s Council to prepare the legislative framework for the initiative,” Pushilin said.
The Republic’s leader said that such a public institution is necessary and meets the existing social demand.
“The Civic Chamber will benefit the lawmaking by making it more transparent and engaging most active citizens.”
Pushilin said the Civic Chamber will be vested with certain powers covering various public spheres to strengthen the dialog between the authorities and public, making problem solving more efficient.
“It is also meaningful in terms with the integration with Russia, Civic Chamber functions there since 2005. We shall use Russian experience and invite Russian experts to establish this institution in the DPR.”
