DPR Head, UN officials discuss further humanitarian partnership

Donetsk, Jan 26 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin met with UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani and Head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Igancio Leon on Tuesday, Pushilin’s official website reported.

“On Tuesday, January 26,Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin held a meeting with UN Humanitarian Coordinator Osnat Lubrani,” the report said. “The meeting focused on further prospect for humanitarian cooperation.”

The meeting was attended by DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova and Head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Ignacio Leon.

“The DPR leader paid special attention to UN agencies’ projects that provide significant support to DPR health centres in preventing and fighting the coronavirus infection,” the report said.

Pushilin thanked Lubrani and Leon for fruitful cooperation in UN humanitarian support of residents of the People’s Republics over nearly seven years of the Donbass conflict. Lubrani confirmed that despite more challenges in fighting the pandemic, UN agencies and the humanitarian community were ready to continue to provide humanitarian aid to the Donbass population in 2021.*jk
