Donetsk, Jan 20 – DAN. Donetsk has invited the OSCE Chairperson, Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde to the DPR, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.

Linde arrived in Ukraine on a two-day working visit on January 19. She met Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky as part of the visit. The minister was told that Ukraine observes the ceasefire and fulfills it obligations following the Normandy Four instructions.

“Due to the importance of providing trustworthy information and full information on the events in Donbass and within the Minsk process, we sent Ms Linde an invite to the Donetsk People’s Republic to acquaint herself with the situation in Donbass, including along the contact line, where Ukrainian alleged “commitment” to the ceasefire is exceptionally obvious,” Nikonorova said.

She expressed her hope that Ms Linde accepts the invitation and does not allow a situation where Ukraine obtains a monopoly in presenting the situation to public.

Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire seven times on the day when Christians celebrate the Baptism of Christ. The shelling began in the morning and continued into the night.*ot
