Donetsk, Aug 17 – DAN. Shelling of Donbass townships where international organizations carry out humanitarian missions becomes casual for the Ukrainian armed forces, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin.

Ukrainian troops opened fire on Donetsk western outskirts on Friday as the ICRC team was working in the area distributing humanitarian aid. The supplies they delivered have been destroyed. Four households and a power line have been damaged. The red Cross team was safely evacuated.

“The shelling of Staromikhailovka located in close proximity to the contact line at the time the ICRC team was working there to help civilians is another cynical provocation of the Ukrainian forces. Such behavior of the Ukrainian armed forces is becoming casual in the absence of due reaction and pressure on Ukraine from relevant actors,” Pushilin said.

DPR representative said he hoped that the ICRC, the OSCE monitoring mission and the international community would duly judge the Friday’s incident. *ot
