Donetsk, Sep 11 – DAN. OSCE Contact Group humanitarian subgroup coordinator Toni Frisch and Donetsk People’s Republic ombudswoman’s office personnel visited penitentiaries in Torez and Snezhniy, the ombudswoman’s office press service reported on Tuesday.
“Today, OSCE Contact Group humanitarian subgroup coordinator Toni Frisch and personnel of the DPR ombudswoman’s office visited penitentiary No 28 in Torez and penitentiary No 127 in Snezhniy of the DPR Justice Ministry State Penitentiary Service,” the press service said.
After Frisch talked with inmates, he noted the importance of such private meetings “without the presence of third persons,” it added.
Frisch arrived in the DPR capital on Monday afternoon. He had a meeting behind closed doors with mothers whose sons were held in Ukraine and talked with former detainees released in prisoner exchange and relatives of missing persons. After these meetings, he and DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova visited Ukrainian prisoners-of-war at Donetsk pre-trial detention centre No 5.*jk
