Donetsk, Jul 26 – DAN. Officers of Ukrainian armed forces and Ukrainian security service have carried out a reconnaissance mission at the contact line disguised as emergency service workers, said DPR People’s Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

“Our intelligence has recorded Ukrainian armed forces and Ukrainian security service officers using insignia of the Ukrainian emergency service to work together with the OSCE mission and carry out reconnaissance mission on the borderline with our Republic,” he said.

Basurin said this is a gross violation of international conventions that ban military missions disguised as civilian ones.

“We demand that Ukraine abolishes such provocations and that SMM members pay attention to this information,” he said.

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot
