Ukrainian army expends 6 tons of ammo to shell DPR since previous Contact Group meeting

Donetsk, Jun 13 – DAN. The Ukrainian army has violated the ceasefire over 120 times since the previous meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk, said a DPR representative at the talks of the security subgroup.

“A meeting of the security subgroup is taking place in Minsk, the DPR has presented statistics on the ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian side. From May 30 to June 12 we have recorded 126 violations committed by the Ukrainian army,” said the representative of the DPR mission to the JCCC Ruslan Yakubov .

Over the above-mentioned period Kiev forces expended 6.3 toms of ammunitions injuring nine civilians, damaging 50 houses and nine infrastructure objects. The majority of incidents took place in Gorlovka, Dokuchayevsk and Sakhanka.

Yakubov said the subgroup had already discussed the first point of the agenda related to the security situation along the contact line and the draft document on additional measures to control the observation of the ceasefire. The meeting is expected to cover the derailment of the Disengagement Agreement by the Ukrainian side and steps to protect the Donetsk water treatment plant.

Another round of the Minsk talks of the Contact Group and its working groups is taking place in Minsk today. *ot
